Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her most well-known work is playing the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The show ended on August 13, 2012, after the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and therapist for families as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and claims she attends Passover seders.
